Only watch TV shows you love, it'll help your diet. New study results show that we tend to eat more when watching a TV show we deem boring. Swedish researchers studied 18 women as they snacked and watched different types of TV shows. Women who watched "boring" TV were found to consume 52 percent more food than those who watched "engaging" TV.
But why does "boring" equal more eating? Cornell researcher Aner Tal, says, "At very low levels of engagement, you kind of eat to engage yourself because you're bored."
