Putting a message in a bottle and floating it out to sea is now possible without the bottle or the sea. A new, free, app called Fling allows users to share photos, videos and text messages with up to 50 randomly chosen people around the world. When a user 'flings' a message they are not given an option of where it will go.
Recipients have the option of replying to the message and starting a conversation. Developers say, "Fling is restructuring the messaging complex and opening the doors to those who are bored of cluttered social news feeds with photos and messages from people they already know-- having a thirst to widen their sharing and connect with people outside the country they're in."
