Apparently we can tell if a food is unhealthy or not by just tasting it! A study says a food's texture may give away its calorie content by influencing our perception. This also influences how much of that food we may eat.
So what are some textures that are tattle tales? Creamy, soft, smooth, and thick tells our brain that there's a high fat content like ice cream and mashed potatoes. Meanwhile, hard and crunchy foods tells our brain the food is healthy since we tend to think of veggies.
