'I'M READY!' Spongebob Musical in the Works

Spongebob Squarepants is getting a Broadway makeover. Nickelodeon announced that a Spongebob musical is coming to Chicago and New York City next year. Artists like Aerosmith, John Legend, David Bowie, Cyndi Lauper, Lady Antebellum and The Flaming Lips are all penning songs for the musical.

Zac Efron's Movie Has Third Worst Worldwide Opening in History

Zac Efron's film has the third worst worldwide opening in history. The movie, We Are Your Friends, bombed opening weekend, raking in a meager $1.8 million from the over 2,000 theaters it opened in. Only two films beat Zac to #1, which are Oogieloves in the Big Balloon Adventure and Delgo.

Epix Ends Deal with Netflix. Jumps to Hulu

A day after Netflix announced they are severing ties with Epix, Hulu announced that they have reached a multiyear deal with the video on demand company.  The Hulu-Epix deal starts Oct. 1 and will bring new releases from Lionsgate, MGM and Paramount to Hulu subscribers.  Hulu said the deal involves new titles, library films, and Epix original programming.

The Oxford English Dictionary released its quarterly list of new words and some people aren't loving all the slang.  Check it out!

Awesomesauce, adj.: (U.S. informal) extremely good; excellent

Bants (also bantz), pl. n.: (Brit. informal) playfully teasing or mocking remarks exchanged with another person or group; banter

Beer o’clock, n: an appropriate time of day for starting to drink beer

blockchain, n.: a digital ledger in which transactions made in bitcoin or another cryptocurrency are recorded chronologically and publicly

brain fart, n.: (informal) a temporary mental lapse or failure to reason correctly

Brexit, n.: a term for the potential or hypothetical departure of the United Kingdom from the European Union

bruh, n: (U.S. informal) a male friend (often used as a form of address)

Miley Cyrus Has 'Free Reign' over VMAs

Are you ready for the VMAs?  The award show’s producer says Miley has free reign to do whatever she wants on Sunday, which means we have no idea what she has in store for us.  There are standards and practices Miley must abide by, but MTV says they are extremely excited for what she and her team have planned.

Rumor: Nick Gordon Paid for Grieving Footage at Bobbi Kristina's Grave

Rumor has it Nick Gordon was paid $40,000 to grieve at the grave of Bobbi Kristina Brown.  The money is going towards his legal defense against the wrongful death suit that’s been filed against him.  Nick’s team denies the allegations, saying photogs were camping by her grave.

Simon Cowell Calls One Direction Break 'Healthy'

Simon Cowell is very supportive of One Direction’s decision to take a break.  He said the boys have been going nonstop since the band formed so taking a year off will be a very healthy thing. He added that he knew the break was coming for a while.
