When was the last time you hit the gym? Results of a survey of over two thousand gym-goers reveal more women are training hard. Though there are still more men going to the gym, the proportion of women gym-goers rose significantly from nine percent to 14.6 percent. Additionally, the study dubbed women who workout four to five times a week and use supplements as "protein princesses."
The survey results reveal the most popular supplements among protein princesses are whey-protein products, on-the-go protein snacks and vitamin and mineral supplements. A researcher points out that the increase in women going to the gym may be due to celebrities posting photos of the results of their workouts on social media.
