The Biggest Tech Turn-offs in Relationships

Do you continue to text during dinner? You're probably irritating your partner.

New data from U.K. company TalkTalk Mobile finds that sending the wrong amount of kisses (Xs) is the top tech turn-off of those in relationships. In other words, responding with fewer Xs than a partner sent to you is a big no-no. Other technology-related behaviors people rated as annoying: ending a relationship via text, re-sending the same text if your partner doesn't respond, and answering the phone during dinner. Over half of men polled said they think it's acceptable to end a relationship via text, while 62 percent of women said they think face-to-face break ups are best.

A researcher says, "Nearly 70 percent of us know someone with bad phone manners-- although only a fifth of us thought our own phone manners may be in need of improvement. So our top tips aim to help people weave their way through the web that is modern phone etiquette."

Using the wrong amount of kisses in a text message has been revealed as the top turn off in romantic phone etiquette. Answering the phone at dinner and using it in the cinema (stock image pictured) also made the list
