Live 95.9 Staff

Bryan Slater

Hi, I’m Slater, and if I didn’t love my job I would not get up at 4:30 every morning! (believe me)! Meg and I try our hardest to keep you informed and entertained from 6-10 Monday thru Friday on Live 95.9!
FUN FACTS: I regularly check my pulse. I love buying new shoes. I announce for the Pittsfield Suns. I juice a lemon daily. I host trivia nights for Bob Heck Entertainment. I recently lost “a closest to the pin” contest to a 90 year old man. I drink my beer on ice. I sleep with the fan on medium. I love The Beatles. I’m built like a coat rack. I have gray hair and a red beard. My favorite movie is “The Blues Brothers”. I love sushi. I love steak. I’m really good at fast pitch wiffle ball.

Megan Duley

Hello, I’m Meg, the tall redhead on the Slater & Meg in the Morning Show who's your go to on miscellaneous facts about history, cats, and food.  Hope you're having a fine fantastic day!

A bit about me:

Who's your favorite artist on Live 95.9?: I've been a fan of Taylor Swift for YEARS and I'm really digging her latest album, 1989.  I'm also a big fan of Kesha, Bruno Mars, Pink, and Collective Soul.

Who's your favorite artist NOT on Live 95.9?:  I'm gonna have to say it's Jimmy Sturr.  My grandma was his #1 fan so whenever he came to Connecticut's Warsaw Park, it was guaranteed that I was going to go Polka my feet off.  Loved every second of it!
How I first got into radio?: I was asked to stand in for a "co-host" that was "sick" on WLOY, University of Loyola’s radio station back in 2008. It was actually a clever ruse to keep me from finding out they were throwing me a surprise birthday party.
Fascinating!  What happened next?: I was bitten by the radio bug.  Hard.  I soon graduated with a Masters of Print and Multimedia Journalism from Emerson College in 2012 and interned at WBZ1030 and WBUR before making my way to the Berkshires.

And now?:  You can catch me on Live 95.9 between 6am and 2pm every weekday!

Geez, do you do anything besides the radio?:  The sun's out so the guns are out.  If you see a bright yellow kayak out on the lake, chances are that it's your favorite radio redhead.

Where do you even come from?: Born and raised in Killingworth, Connecticut.  Don't worry, I'm not offended if you never heard of it.  Practically the entire state's in the same boat.  It's a tiny town about 20 minutes from the shoreline.

Where else can we find you online?: Here's my Twitter, my Facebook, my Vine, and my Instagram

Mike Heck

Hi there, my name is Mike Heck, I'm the  afternoon DJ here at Live 95.9, and to say I am pumped is probably the understatement of the century. I'm Boston born, but moved out to Berkshire County 4 years ago to help my brother Bob with his Mobile DJ company. You may have seen me DJing a wedding, Karaoke show, or trivia night around the county. Along with that, I also have my own sports podcast which is on iTunes called Sports Fan Like Conduct, because I am a huge sports nut, especially the Red Sox, Patriots, Bruins, and Celtics. But I love sports in general. I am also the third of 4 boys in the Heck Family, god bless my parents.
I am married to a wonderful woman, and my best friend Holly, and we have a son named Grayson who is going to be a year old next month. Holy Cow, time flies.
I am very grateful for the opportunity I have here, and those who know me know that will give everything I have for it.
You can follow me on twitter @SFLCpodcast.
Best story about a co-worker: My brother and I played in a golf tournament with Slater a couple of years back. So we get to the "closest to the pin" hole and my brother puts his on the green. So we walk up to the ball, and my brother grabs the tape measure on the course to measure how far away he was. As we're leaving the hole, Slater says, "Don't forget your tape, you take these tournaments seriously don't you?" After we stared at him for 15 seconds, we slowly went on our way to the next hole. Gotta love that Slater!
