Personal Driverless Cars Could be a Thing Soon
by Meg Duley,posted Jun 19 2014 6:33AM
After a long day at the office there's nothing worse than sitting in traffic.
New data reveals that driverless cars could reduce traffic by up to 80 percent. Researcher and director of an MIT-run lab, Carlos Ratti says that driverless cars combined with the right applications could ultimately result in fewer cars on the road, and therefore less traffic.
Singapore is leading the world in driverless car trials, and is currently testing a fleet of the vehicles on the National University of Singapore campus.
