If you have marriage worries you may want to steer clear of Facebook. A new study finds that people who use social media are 32 percent more likely to consider leaving their spouses. Researchers from Boston University compared the divorce rates of individuals in 43 states with the the rate of Facebook use in each state.
Data revealed that a 20 percent increase in Facebook users was correlated with a 2.18 percent increase in the divorce rate in each state. Additionally, data from an older study was re-analyzed to find that non-social network users reported being 11.4 percent more satisfied with their marriages than heavy social media users.
